There were a few problems with the existing fence on this property.

Some posts were in ‘bolt down supports’ and had worked themselves loose in the wind.
Panels were missing and most of them were rot at the bottom.

The client wanted a balance between Cost/Strength/Longevity and to reinstate a previous entrance/exit.

This is a standard 1.8m High Feather edge fence with Olive Grey DuraPosts that give a 25yr+ lifespan.
The timber has a life expectancy of 15 yrs but is very quick and easy to replace when the time comes.

As you can see in the photos we installed a garden gate to access a public footpath which is a shortcut into town.

We removed the metal post supports and installed the fence the other side of the wall. This allowed us to concrete the posts into the ground, hide the ugly retaining wall for the neighbours and join up with the existing fencing at the front of the property.

We decided to add some trellis to soften the drop in fence height and to give some more privacy.
